Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Bellanaihture is a newsletter and a website about health in midlife. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Bellanaihture is operated by Bellanaihture, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Our website is https://bellanaihture.com, and you can reach us at privacy@bellanaihture.com.

For anything in this policy, write to privacy@bellanaihture.com.

What we collect

Your email address, and your first name if you give it. That’s it.

You provide these when you subscribe to our newsletter, The Frequency. Your first name is optional — only the email address is required. We use it to send you the newsletter and nothing else.

When you subscribe, our newsletter system also records the date you signed up and the IP address you signed up from. We keep those as proof of consent, which is a legal requirement for marketing email.

We do not:

  • run advertising or tracking pixels
  • use analytics software
  • sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own purposes
  • build a profile of you
  • ask for payment details, health information, or anything else

Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs — IP addresses, browser type, pages requested. Those are used for security and troubleshooting.

Why we’re allowed to hold it

Your consent. You asked for the newsletter, so we send it. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so is easy — see below.

How to stop hearing from us

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click, and you’re removed. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask for one.

You can also email privacy@bellanaihture.com and we will remove you.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of services to run the site and send the newsletter. Each is given only what it needs.

ServiceWhat it doesWhat it sees
HostingerHosts the websiteServer logs, including IP addresses
Listmonk, self-hosted on Fly.ioStores the subscriber list and sends the newsletterYour name and email address
ResendDelivers our emailYour email address
Cloudflare R2Stores our imagesNothing about you
Google FontsSupplies the typefaces the site is set inYour IP address, when a page loads

About Google Fonts: our pages load two typefaces from Google’s servers. That means your browser tells Google your IP address when you visit. We are working to serve those fonts from our own server, which will end that disclosure.

Some of these services operate outside your country. Where that happens, they are bound by contractual terms requiring protection equivalent to the law where you live.

We will also disclose information if a law or a court requires it. We would tell you if that happened, unless we were legally forbidden from doing so.

How long we keep it

Your subscription: for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record — your email address and the fact that you opted out — so that we do not accidentally add you again. You can ask us to erase that too.

Server logs: kept briefly for security purposes, then discarded.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our emails carry no open-tracking pixel — we do not know whether you opened one.

In fact, browsing this site sets no cookies at all. Only the private admin area we use to publish does, and that is not part of your visit.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you
  • correct anything wrong
  • delete what we hold
  • send you a copy in a portable format
  • stop using it
  • withdraw consent, at any time

Write to privacy@bellanaihture.com. We will respond within 30 days, and we will not charge you or make it difficult.

If you think we have handled this badly, tell us — we would rather fix it than have you go elsewhere. If you live somewhere with a data protection authority, you can complain to them as well.

Children

Bellanaihture is written for women in midlife. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, tell us and we will remove the record.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. The subscriber list is held on a server we control, access to it is restricted, and credentials are rotated. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not hold anything beyond a name and an email address — which limits what there is to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in the newsletter.
